A training of artists with and without disabilities was organized in Lisbon, to put in practice the development of the toolkit and evaluate the needs. Most of the exercises are the result of a combinatory approach between theater, dance, painting, deep listening and sensing.

Meeting in Athens - September 2023
A training of artists was organized in Athens, to build the capacity of the participating organisations’ artists empowering them implement the method in their contexts.
Intended was a training of multiplier artists during four days in Athens with these artists acting as multipliers in their own environment.
Following on the training the artists will organise trainings in their national context, in the art disciplines explored in the project: Theatre, Painting, Dance, Technology, sound and music, intersected with the methodology of the Art of Connection, developed by Hope Art.
Kick off meeting
First meeting with all the partners in Athens
Welcomed at the Action Synergy offices, the partners came together for the first time in person, introducing themselves, their activities and their affinities with the project’s objectives, with a full day of presentations and dialogues, preparing the further activities, the progress, planning, management and dissemination of the project.

Diving into the Art of Connection and Theatre
A full day introduction to the “Art of Connection” and the skills behind the method, created by Hope Art founders Angeliki Voulgari and Vasilis Panagiotidis. Conversations and exercises of connection were followed by an exploration of theatre methods to work with people with disabilities, developed by Angeliki Volugari and Vasilis Panagiotidis in the activities they realize around Greece, and based on their backgrounds as actress and musician.

Connecting through Dance
Ana Rita Barata and Bruno Rodrigues lead the group of artists through the day with an immersion into togethering via the body, with and beyond words, building a collaborative choreography in each other's movements and thoughts.
